Pumping System SOP
Loading a new Coating/Solvent
- Make sure the Pump corresponds to the desired circuit/guns.
- Turn the Air Regulator off.
- Open the Dump Valve.
- Open the Air Supply Valve.
- Turn Air Regulator up until the pump starts to cycle at a reasonable speed (1-2bar)
- Lift Pick Up Tube out of the current coating/solvent until pump starts to cycle quickly.
- Turn off Air Supply Valve.
- Wipe off Pick Up Tube.
- Place Pick Up Tube in new coating/solvent.
- Lift the Return Tube (still in old coating/solvent) until just slightly submerged.
- Open Air Supply Valve.
- Wait for large air bubble to exit the Return Tube.
- Turn off Air Supply Valve.
- Remove Return Tube and wipe off.
- Hold Return Tube in a Waste Bucket against the wall.
- Open Air Supply Valve.
- Wait for new coating/solvent to flow out with no air bubbles present.
- Turn off Air Supply Valve.
- Insert Return Tube in new coating/solvent.
- Open Air Supply Valve and let cycle for 30 seconds.
- Close Dump Valve.
- Increase Air Regulator to 5 Bar.
- Set Fluid Regulator to desired spray pressure based on proper coating coverage tests.
- (Optional) If a ReCirc Valve is present open to pump approx. 6 strokes/minute.
- You are now ready to spray new coating/solvent.
